Just time today for what should be the penultimate post from Richard Williams’ 2008 notes in the CD insert, which we rejoin on Page 10:
“All of the members would work together again in various recombinations, either on Sandy’s solo recordings or as the umpteenth version of Fairport Convention. Sandy herself transferred a couple of songs – “Late November” and “John the Gun” – to her first solo album, The North Star Grassman and the Ravens, while versions of “SilverThreads” and “Gypsy Davey” appeared on subsequent Denny compilations. Not until now, however, has there been a chance to see what the band had in mind during those sessions at the end of 1970.”
More next time, whenever.
