This is, as far as I can tell, the last post I shall ever do on Fotheringay. It will be recalled that these posts have been a bit of a diversion from the sub-theme of Fairport Convention in the 1970s, where we have paused in the dark days of the summer of 1972, when the group appeared to have ceased to exist. “Fotheringay” was the second of five glimmers of hope I have identified, and we shall shortly consider the third. However, I must say that I have found this Fotheingay section strangely moving, in a way I have not really experienced before in this blog. Anyway, we end with this picture of the band, which adorns the inside of the sleeve of CD 5 of the 19 CD Box Set:
