This time, some final words on this LP, though there will be a few more on the album, of which I have the expanded CD version.
First, of course, the last two mugshots from the back cover:
“Dundee Horns
Roger Bell (Sax), Mollie (sax) and Mike Rosen (trumpet). Altenatively known as The Basing Street Brass, they all worked formerly as integral parts of Mogul Thrash and could become – with natural talent – Britain’s Bar-Keys”; and finally:
“Ian Whiteman
The pianist churning away on all [!] these tracks. Rumour had it that Jerry Lee Lewis was going to do the sessions, but when it came to it Ian did it as well as Mr. Lewis, and for a lot less money. From Action to Mighty Baby he came.”
After the mugshots come detailed tracks stuff, showing exactly who sang and who played what on each song; and then these last credits:
“Producer: Trevor Lucas
Recorded during January 1972 at The Manor
Design & Concept: Eckford/Stimpson
Illustrated by Richard Eckford/Terry Pastor”
Next time, a little about the CD.
