Track 6, which I think probably kicked off Side 2 of the LP, is “REVELATION”. This is another laid back gentle rocker, but is much more insistent than Track 1. It is a Bob Welch song, again not bad, but also again certainly nothing special. Bob Weston’s lead guitar does add some spirit, but once more this one goes on too long.
Track 7 is “DID YOU EVER LOVE ME”, and is in ballad style. It is a Christine McVey/Bob Welch joint effort, and as such it works fairly well. This is actually a reasonable fist as a song, benefiting greatly from the interest added by Steve Nye’s steel drums (!). This keeps it going on in a fairly folky way, and this is probably the best of the “mediocre middle”.
