Buying the albums sampled on “You Can All Join In”.
Continuing remarks feature this time on the original LP notes as cited by Fred “Kermit” Dellar in November 1995 in the CD insert. We continue with some comments on his quotation from the original LP credits, this time about the reference to Bruce Rowland.
This name, Bruce Rowland, has of course appeared many times in the last year or so during the “Fairport Convention” part of the long project comparing the relative fortunes of that group and Fleetwood Mac in the 1970s. He was the (now heavily bearded!) drummer who eventually replaced Dave Mattacks in 1976/1977, after a lacuna filled by a different chap. Full details of this fascinating interlude can be found some way above, including some notes on the extraordinary Scandinavian tour (“Many Ears To Please”).
Next time back to the notes in the CD insert.
