Buying the albums sampled on “You Can All Join In”.
This advertises a gig to take place on Saturday 28 September; this was in 1968, not very long after Sandy Denny had replaced Judy Dyble in the band. By 28 September the next year, Ian Matthews had left the group, and Martin Lamble had been killed in a car crash.
Jackson C. Frank had been a sort of boyfriend of Sandy Denny at one time, and wrote “You Never Wanted Me”, recorded by Sandy Denny, and also in a BBC 1968 recording by Fairport Convention.
