Buying the albums sampled on “You Can All Join In”.
Track 3 on Side 2 of the LP is indeed the truly splendid “It Hurts You So”, which as noted in the last post, had been oddly heralded in the previous track. This is Spooky Tooth’s “stately rock” at its very best, with all its elements at top notch, a lovely song that hits all the right bits. Perfect.
Track 4 is “Forget It, I Got It”, another brilliant group composition, but this one being a much more up tempo, frantic thing; not really stately at all. Nevertheless, it is a great song, and very pleasant to listen to.
The LP ends with “Bubbles”, a rather twee ditty, a bit like a nursery rhyme. This is a group composition, with some fascinating accompaniment, and a most reasonable cadence to this fine record.
