Buying the albums sampled on “You Can All Join In”.
OK, onto the mono tracks which comprise the Tracks 12 to 18 inclusive on the expanded CD. As those of you might know, who are old enough to know, this means that they all appeared on 7″ 45 rpm singles.
Track 12 is the “A” side single of “Sunshine Help Me” [see above]. It is essentially the same track, but sounds a bit different, being in mono.
Track 13 is called “Weird”, and is the group’s reworking of “Think I’m Going Weird”, by Art from “Supernatural Fairy Tales” [see above]. It will be recalled that the four members of Art are four of the five guys in this line up of Spooky Tooth. It was the “B” side of “Sunshine Help Me”, and was worth doing again to get Gary wright’s input.
Side 14 is another “A” side, this being the splendid “Love Really Changed Me” from the LP, but again sounding different in the mono version.
Side 15 is the single’s “B” side, a pleasant enough instrumental called “Luger’s Groove”.
Track 16 seems to be one of two tracks comprising the “A” side of a single, and is the mono version of “The Weight” [see previous post]. Track 17 is said to be the other track, and is an absolutely brilliant song called “Do Right People”. This is an up-beat, perfect example of the group at its best. Track 18 is “Bubbles”, again from the LP, but sounding different in mono.
Here we leave Spooky Tooth, at least for the time being.
