As promised last time, here we have a brief diversion. John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers spawned a series of celebrated lead guitarists, of whom the first and most famous was Eric Clapton, who can be seen reading the Beano on the front cover of the first and eponymous LP in 1966. It subsequently became known as “The Beano Album”, and shortly after it was recorded Eric left to form Cream with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker.
One more diversion next time, before getting on to the music of Clouds.
