Buying the albums sampled on “You Can All Join In”.
I make no apologies for continuing a genuine post, as I had no choice here; the CD has both of the band’s LPs on it. I could only get “Scrapbook” by buying this CD, so the second album, released in 1971, two years after the first one, is necessarily included in the process.
The name of the album may not be arbitrary, in that it could well refer to the song “The Colours Have Run”, which was Track 3 on the first album [see above].
Track 1 is the title song “Watercolour Days”, which kicks off with an insistent piano intro, which fills out gradually to a full sound with Hammond organ and drums. The song then launches into a firm, strong, tuneful melody. This is a great opener.
Next time, onto Track 2.
