Buying the albums sampled on “You Can All Join In”.
This is a pure blues album, but uniquely stamped with the sound of Free.
The first track on Side 1 is in fact the first half of a song called “Over the Green Hills”, the second half being the last track on Side 2. A nice touch. This is a country blues with an insistent bass beat, and Part I lasts barely a minute before fading into the intro of Track 2, “Worry”. This is utterly unlike the track of the same name on the second Blodwyn Pig LP “Getting to This”. The Free song is more relentless driving blues, with “piano thumping” by Steve Miller.
Certainly the album was already living up to its name.
