Buying the albums sampled on “You Can All Join In”.
Naturally, I also have the superb rereleased CD with bonus tracks and a lovely pink “island” label.
The sleeve notes are an absolute mine of info, and more of these later. [Now earlier, and in full!]
Of the bonus tracks, the most outstanding is without doubt “Visions of Hell”, which was, in an unrecorded version, to have been on the LP, but in the event was replaced by “The Hunter”. This is a truly horrifying song, and would have fitted the name and ambience of the album perfectly. Full of terror, final condemnation and abject misery though it is, the piece is nevertheless a great one to listen to.
