Buying the LPs sampled on Nice Enough to Eat.
On pages 9 and 10 of the gatefold sleeve inner booklet is a black and white photo showing on the left (page 9) a chap playing an acoustic guitar, and on the right (page 10) a male drummer. These appear to be, respectively, Maha Dev and Jake. On the right side of page 10 are the lyrics for “Pearl and Bird” and “Gange Mai” (not “Gungamai” as on the sampler) (two tracks from the album). Page 9 has of course the same circular hole as page 8.
Page 10 has a pyramid shaped triangle cut out, of such a size that the two lower corners touch the circular hole on the previous page, but the top point is just a tiny bit short of so doing. This triangle is surrounded by a circle filled with diagonal lines, the lower left corner just touching this, the other corners being just a little bit short. A most unusual feature of page 10 is that its top right corner is slightly folded forward onto page 11, in the form of a long thin right angled triangle across the top, about 8 cm by 1 cm on the right angle. This part of the page is part of a vast background of tiny white dots on black. This is not an exact fit to the page, but a slight extension to it, so that if it is folded back, it forms a sharp point towards the centre. Very odd indeed, and I think unique to this package.
