Buying the LPs sampled on Nice Enough to Eat.
The other studio version of “See My Way” in fact appears as Track 16 on CD2 of the 3 disc set called “All Said and Done”. I have listened to it again, and it is actually quite good, but a much smoother rendition than the original, and nearly a minute longer.
There is also a June 1974 version of the song done for a John Peel session, which I have as Track 4 on a CD called “Blodwyn Pig: The Basement Tapes”. This is much longer, coming in at nearly six minutes, and is a much wilder and unsubtle thing than the original.
In my previous post I was confusing these two versions, I think.
