Buying the albums sampled on “You Can All Join In”.
This time we start a short study of the wonders of the Collectors Edition of this classic album.
The set comprises two CDs, and on each of them the first 10 tracks duplicate the LP. However, on CD One these are the “Original Mono LP”, whereas on CD Two they are a “New Stereo Album Mix”. Each of the CDs is then filled up with an array of bonus tracks. Those on CD One are from two John Peel radio shows, whereas the bonus items on CD Two are some new stereo mixes of “Love Story” and “Christmas Song”, and the original mono recordings of those two songs and also “Sunshine Day” and “One For John Gee” (the B side of the single “A Song For Jeffrey” – get the joke?.)
