Enjoyed your comments on Clouds. Just to say that Clouds actually recorded three albums and three singles during their career with Island Records and Chrysalis. All Clouds recordings were recently released on a double CD “Up Above our Heads [Clouds 1966-71]. The three members of the band do appear on the front cover of “You Can All Join in”, standing beside the members of Free. Somewhere on the web is a chart showing who each person on the CD cover is. There was a major Sky Arts TV series which featured Clouds, called “Trailblazers of Prog Rock”. Billy Ritchie also appeared on “Trailblazers of Glam Rock” talking about his friend, David Bowie. Keep on with the fine work! Thank you. James
Many thanks indeed for this. You are of course quite right in saying all three members of Clouds were there, and all are clearly visible. Harry Hughes is the fair haired one with the hat, and to the left of him is Billie Ritchie. There is indeed a Wikipedia entry giving all the details, and way above in this series on the blog you can find a whole load of stuff all about it. It was very silly of me only finding Ian Ellis when I was doing the Clouds stuff.
